So, I decided to do this blog and haven't done a very good job of keeping it up. My apologies. We are in complete transition right now from our apartment to our house. And ontop of this, we don't have Internet working yet. As soon as we do, my posts will include pictures;)
So here is what we have been up to since my last entry!
Tuesday, March 30th was THE day! We closed on our FIRST house and started the moving process. It was a little tense because the close date kept changing due to some glitches with the price of the appraisal, etc- but it was all figured out and we closed. Now we are home owners!
Since closing, we have been busy bees unpacking and settling in. My goal has been to make the new house feel like home. It took a while, but I can finally say that it does. After painting, furniture, hanging pictures, decorating and finally getting blinds- it really feels like home.
Ruby has been adjusting nicely as well. She has yet to have a single accident in the house and is learning where "outside" is. Just yesterday I started letting her in the backyard unsupervised. Big girl! And sure enough, about 5-10 minutes later she will be barking at the back door to be let it. We are getting a good system down!
Meanwhile, Adam has been very busy with work. Right now he is still working in Corpus with the Production Services division of Allis Chalmers. This is the last of the four divisions involved in his oilfield sales training program. Woohoo! We just found out that he will complete this part of the training program in June. While I wish it was much sooner, it is nice to have a light at the end of the tunnel..FINALLY! I am just happy that he gets to come home every weekend. Once he completes this training in June he will be back in Houston full time..phew! In Houston he will shadow some of the "city salesmen" and from there he will eventually be transitioned into full oilfield sales and possibly placed in a specific division. We are looking forward to what the future holds!
Other than that, we have been well- just busy working on the house! We celebrated Easter with a wonderful lunch with both of our parents at the Vyvial's. The Aki's joined us as well (Emily's soon-to-be inlaws).
Last weekend we had Derek Beeman's 30th birthday party at Ashlee and Derek's new home. We live so close to them now. Almost neighbors!! It was a blast and so fun spending time with friends. Plus, I always love getting to see my Alli Mousekin Morris!
I will post pictures of all our fun times and of course updated house pics! So stay tuned..
We love you all!
